Class Descriptions
Get ready to move, groove, and have fun in this energetic Hip Hop dance class! This class will teach basic hip hop moves, fun choreography, and freestyle techniques. Kids will build confidence, coordination, and rhythm while dancing to popular music in a supportive and creative environment. No experience needed—just bring your energy and love for music!
Take a journey to the farthest reaches of the imagination while learning about the ocean, Mars, a futuristic city, and
more! We’ll create Movie posters, map out universal tree houses, develop comic book characters and much more.
Spend each week experimenting with Crayola® products and many art techniques like sculpting, collage, and mixed
media. Discover different design careers and use the design thinking process to solve real-world problems.

Class Descriptions
Dive into video game design using MIT’s Scratch and Microsoft’s Arcade MakeCode platforms. Drag-and-Drop block coding makes fundamental computer science concepts accessible to all. Without having to type their code, students are able to make imaginative and impressive games in no time.
Circuit Adventures explores the world of electrons also known as electricity. Circuits are used in devices all around us, from light switches to computers and even cars! MakeInspires guides students through the specific elements of circuits and developing an understanding of key electricity concepts, such as voltage, positive and negative, batteries, LEDs and more. Create paper circuit art and watch the creation come to life with electricity and light! Build batteries out of lemons! Put together an electric vehicle or a fan propelled car to take home! Circuit Adventures enlightens students about how all electronics work around us, providing a base knowledge for all technology!

Class Descriptions
Using TinkerCAD, accessible software purpose-built for kids, we’ll create name tags, buildings, vehicles and more! 3D Design assists students to develop spatial awareness, sequence based thinking, creativity, and more. This enrollment includes a take-home 3D print every other class that the student designed themselves.
Dive into the captivating realm of Stop Motion Animation, the art behind beloved movies such as Fantastic Mr. Fox, Wallace and Gromit, and the inspiration for The Lego Movie! Learn the magic of bringing still images to life by subtly moving objects and characters between each photo, crafting mesmerizing movies. In this class, students embark on a creative journey, starting with storyboards that guide their scene compositions. Utilizing Legos, puppets, and a variety of objects, they weave original tales through stop motion.

Attendance Agreement
Your child must attend the class that they are signed up for. Missing classes will result in the loss of their spot and they will be removed from the program.
Children at W.I. meet in the cafeteria
Pick-Up Time Agreement
Your children must be picked up once their class is over, no exceptions.
W.I. at 3:45 PM at the Cafeteria Doors near the field
Any child that is picked up LATE will be removed from the program and their spot will be filled from the wait list.
Waitlist Agreement
If there are no current spots available for your child, they will be added to the waitlist. This is on a first come, first served basis.
Once a spot is open, you will receive an email. You must respond in order to confirm the spot.
Voluntary Leave
If you choose to remove your child from the program, you must email Sarah McCarthy at sarahm@ymcatarrytown.org in writing.
